Free stuff is good. Free make-up is great! Getting paid to try free make-up is awesome!!

Now I was very excited to try the new Max Factor products. I received Pin-Up Pink Vivid Impact Lip Color, which is a very pretty shade. It’s actually more of a sophisticated mauve and not overly pink.

The packaging was easy to open and I like the look of the container. Shiny black and you can see the lipstick color peaking out of the bottom. It’s comfortable to hold and feels nice as you apply it.

When I first tried it on, I had on some clear gloss. When I applied the lipstick over it, the color did not go on very smoothly, so I took the gloss off and started with fresh lips. The color went on smoothly after that and I put the clear gloss over it. I ate something a few hours after applying it and most of the lipstick was gone after the meal. But that is no different than most lipsticks.

The mascara that I tried was the 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper in Extreme Blackout. It’s just the type of mascara that I buy, so I was happy to use it. Again, I liked the design of the mascara container. Sleek and black with a band of silver. I like the Caution:Causes Extreme Lash Plumping warning on the package. Very cute!

There were a few tiny clumps when I applied it, but I find that happens with many mascaras and I use an eyelash comb to eliminate them. My eyelashes were noticeably longer and thicker after applying the mascara.

I liked the mascara and lipstick and would purchase both of them. Now I’m not a huge make-up person. At home, I don’t wear much. I use powder, a clear gloss, maybe some eyebrow pencil, lipstick and mascara most days. I use eyeliner and a bit of eye shadow a few times a week, but not everyday. It’s extremely rare that I wear foundation. I’m probably in a make-up rut and could stand to learn a few tricks.

On Max Factor’s website, they have a few different places to find some hints. I have a lot to learn!

One parting note, I noticed that Gisele is one of the beautiful faces of Max Factor. Interesting. Now both Gisele and I are wearing Max Factor. If you remember a post from early last year, you can see that now Gisele and I have two things in common!

Now I’m sure you’re wondering about the prize. Yes, the goodie bag! You can win a selection of Max Factor products valued at $50.00.

Free makeup is good. I never wear foundation, either. But I do believe in the healing power of the right color of lipstick.

You wrote that you are not much of a makeup person and then went on to list all the makeup you wear when you're at home that is all the makeup I wear when I'm going "out." Hee. I guess I need some free makeup!!

I've never tried Max Factor. I have super sensitive skin so it's hard for me to find a good make up brand.

I've never done anything like this before, but free makeup sounds great. In the spirit of saying something (anything) worthwhile, I will say I swear by liquid eyeliner. easy to use as long as you have a wet q-tip to clean the line. Love it!

Wow! A good review and a contest? Amazing!

I dig the eyelash review, and I may finally give the Max Factor a try. I'm not a powder/foundation fan either, but my colleagues think I'm an eyeshadow queen. Longer lashes would be a good thing!

My absolute must have at-all-times is MAXalicious Lip Glaze Lip Gloss in the colors Table For Two and Just a Crush. I have several of each of these colors stashed everyway in my purse, laptop case, diaperbag, glovebox, locker, etc. I feel so naked without lipgloss, it instantly makes me feel better and more "complete" when I have it on, lol!

I'm definitely a mascara girl, and I don't wear a lot of make up either. Usually it's just Burt's Bees lip gloss and mascara, and that's it. :)

My eyelashes are so small, I need something to plump them up! Same thing goes for my lips! Here's hoping I win this!

I am telling you, you will not find a better mascara than Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara. It can make your eyelashes look like luxurious false eyelashes everytime. Their foundation is excellent also and has been around forever. I just read that they are going to stop selling Max Factor in the U.S. in 2010. I pray this isn't true. I believe they sell the very finest products.
