An Eggland's Best Giveaway!

I love to bake. Also, I don't eat meat except for poultry, seafood, and eggs. So I always have eggs in the house.

It was a pleasure to hear about Eggland's Best eggs and to receive a coupon for a free dozen. You can read all about the improved nutrition of Eggland's Best eggs.

According to a recent press release, "All EB egg varieties – large, extra large, jumbo, cage-free and organic – now contain four times more Vitamin D and over three times more Omega-3 compared to ordinary eggs. EB eggs also contain high levels of Vitamin B12 and Vitamin E, and are a good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin B2. Additionally, they contain 25 percent less saturated fat and 19 percent less cholesterol than regular eggs."

I've been eating EB eggs this week and have enjoyed them. I cannot say that I can actually taste the difference between EB eggs and other eggs. Maybe my palate just isn't sensitive enough. However, I must say that psychologically I do feel better about eating EB eggs than I do about eating other eggs.

I used my free coupon to get EB Cage Free large brown eggs. The hens are vegetarian fed, free to roam and enjoy the sunlight and fresh air.

Also, EB eggs look very clean in comparison to other eggs in the store. EB eggs are very uniform in size and color. Plus they each have the cute little EB stamp on them. The packaging is attractive and very sturdy. The plastic and foam egg cartons are recyclable too.

Our family loves eggs fixed just about any way, but I particularly love making quiche. It's an easy way to stretch a few eggs into a larger meal. I'm from MA.

Since I was a winner in a previous contest, I'll state here that, should I win, I'll let my prize go to someone else. Don't want to be a hog about it!

I like scrambled eggs, I also like hard-boiled. That's about it, though. Of course, as an ingredient for cakes, pastries, whatever else, eggs are indispensable and lovely.

I despise quiche, omelets are best kept off my plate (except, for some reason, egg foo yung, which is entirely yummy but also probably deadly to my arteries.)

My Mom used to make me an egg nog every morning before school. That is, she would stir a raw egg into milk, add some chocolate, and I'd drink it down. Those were the days when milk and raw eggs were actually considered healthy for you, so My Mom thought she was doing right by me :-)

I love eggs! For breakfast, lunch or dinner! My favorite egg dish used to be quiche. That was during my pre-baby days when I had much more time to plan and cook. Now I prefer a quick yummy fritatta. I just use whatever veggies I have and you've got an entire meal in about 15min! Yum!

I'm not an egg eater but I use eggs to create other dishes! I love to bake and I love to fry so eggs come in very handy. My absolute favorite dish to make is Chicken Francaise, which consists of eggs, butter, wine, parsley, and cheese for the batter the chicken is dipped in before cooking it up. So very yummy!

Woohoo! EB eggs are the best.
I have at least a couple dozen in the fridge at all times. We eat them a lot of different ways. My favorite is an omelet. I of course love love love to bakewith them.

I'm all about baking with eggs. Probably cookies are my favorite way to use them. I have some Eggland's Best eggs in the fridge right now ... they'd love some company. ;-)
